Alice tried to shush everyone before she had turned on the wireless it was time to hear what was on the latest news. Worried faces covered the living room as they heard the news Alice went into a corner and huddled up she was scared. I’m only a child I don’t want to die. There was going to be a war. Tears came down Alice’s pale soft cheeks, tears came down everyone’s cheeks. what was going to happen to them was they going to die would they have to go to war what was to happen was unknown to them
We were sitting around the wireless about to hear the news. I thought to myself – it must be big because everyone was talking about it. Before I could tell everyone my thoughts and feelings, Neville Chamberlain’s voice filled the room. I was so excited and nervous but when I heard the news all the good feelings were slipping away and all the bad thoughts were taking over. Will we have to move? Will my father and brother have to leave and go fight in the war? It was all too much for me. I ran upstairs and out of sight.
The road to war stared because an evil and the vindictive man wanted Germany to be united even though He was Austrian. It stared like this a general in Russia got assassinated
And since that day the road to war started. One day a Jewish boy was walking from the Synagogue and a German solider put a number on him but he didn’t know what it was so he walked home the one day a soldier knocked on their door and took him to a death camp the parent cried so hard nobody know what happened to the Jewish boy jack.
The family stood standing, waiting. Their brown distinctive curls knotted around their ears and their hazel gems watching in their eyes. They’d been caught, caught by the captures. Their lives rested in the hands of the ones who hate. The line quickened then stopped, stopped dead. The line switched, someone had been sent there, sent to the death camp. Voices quietened and heartbeat stopped. Suddenly more hearts sank, a young girl was seen her shoulders sank, back clicking, hands numb.
Jews a man shouted, this was it, the curls and the gems were leaving. It was the road to war.
Everyone was sprinting home from school and work to hear the big news that was promised at six. When I arrived I was panting, out of breath. As soon as I was home I ran into the living room and there we clustered impatiently round the wireless. But when the news came I wasn’t so excited. I was distraught. THERE WAS GOING TO BE A WAR!!!
I couldn’t believe it! Some of my beloved family, friends, teachers and aunts and uncles were going to have to fight Hitler and the Nazis. To protect me. And the rest of the world!!!
I rushed past the branches and weaved through the intertwined, gnarly trees. Suddenly, the bough of a thick redwood Sequoia tackled me down and I landed with a thump, head first. As my head ached with devilish pain, I saw the shot-down spitfire. I got up and crept cautiously towards the plains and saw the dead body. I had heard the dark rumours of a “World War II” but this was the real start. A dented landscape right in front of my eyes with a fly-swarming body inside. I was petrified as I fled in the opposite direction… but then… BANG…!
I packed my bag and said my last goodbyes, getting ready for my road to war. Trudging through the long, uneven grass I looked back at my house, then my dog. My parents stood side-by-side weeping and praying I’d be safe. No matter what gets in my way, I’ll keep my head up and fight for my country. I’ll fight for my family, especially for my dog, Fluffy! My face twitched trying to stop tears from pouring out, like fireworks blasting into the air. Pulling out the letter from my back pocket I read it again. Why me?
Kids at school had been whispering about another great war. The older kids told us to stay out of it, but nobody listens. Teachers have become uptight and their voices trailing . Theirs one kid claim that there brother will smuggle them into war (if there is one). Then theirs a child that thinks its all garbage! Sometimes you might see a girl and a friend whimpering. No boy really knows what its all about, but I bet they think theirs going to be another (maybe greater)war. If you ask me I say the only road left is to war!!!
