One more match!
“brrrr I am as cold as ice”. Once there was a bare footed match girl. It is a terrible job for a 8 year old girl because matches have a very dangerous acid. The girl feet were aching so she found a corner of an alleyway and then she sunk down in the corner. Then she said ” could I light one match” After 3 more matches she saw a shooting star she remembered that that meant someone was coming down from heaven. Then she saw her grandma.
One more match!
(From the story: The Little Match Girl.) So should we get into the story….O.k.. One girl was bare footed on the streets of London selling matches. She found a corner in an alleyway and sunk down. She could only use four matches so she used the first match to imagine she was next to a hot, warm stove. She used her second match for looking though a wall at a X-mas dinner. The fourth and final match was for her grandma to see the little match girl so the girl went to heaven where her grandma was.
A little girl sold matches on Christmas eve. But no one took anything. She lit a match to keep warm. She saw a fire. She put her hand out and the match went out. She lit another. She saw a table with roast dinner but when she tried to grab it, it disappeared. She lit another and saw a decorated Christmas tree but when she tried to touch it, it vanished. She lit another and saw her grandmother. She knew her grandmother would vanish so she lit more matches and ran into her arms. The next moment, she was dead.
Little Match girl . There was a girl who had to sell matches because if not she would have no food to eat. Her feet were so cold and numb. When she lit another match on the candle it blew out as it was so cold. So the little match girl lit another match but when she did she saw a table filled with food and drink it was so yummy she was so excited too but she couldn’t light the match cause it blew away as it was so windy. She saw her grandmother so she ran into her arms for a hug, she was so happy. Later on that evening she died asleep in the corner of the floor, it was sad . THE END…
There was a little match girl she had frost bite . She trudged into a damp moist corner .After she lit a match she saw a stove it was not to hot or not to cold she stretched her feet out. Then the match went out . She lit another match and saw a beautiful Christmas tree. It had lots of candle’s . She lit another match and saw through the wall, it had a roast pudding .The match went out .She lit again her grandmother was dying .She lit all the matches and hugged her they both died on new years eve.
One night a ragged girl stood shivering in the cold snow. Nobody would dare to look at the girl. She was barefooted .She trudged through the road to a corner where she huddled up to stay out of the cold. After she lit a match and she saw a stove that was warm and a beautiful Christmas tree and. She saw a shooting star that means someone is dying and then the shooting star got nearer and nearer until she saw her grandma but the she touched her and she went. The girl huddled up and she didn’t wake again.
It was a bitterly cold night. There was a little girl who was selling matches. She hadn’t got a single penny all day. She couldn’t go home because her father would beat her up. The reason she doesn’t have any shoes on is because one of them fell off her feet. The other one got taken by a rich boy. So she had bare feet – cold and red. She hadn’t got a single penny all day. So she couldn’t dare to use a match to warm her feet. But she was so cold she had to strike the match.
The little match girl
On one snowy night there was a little lonely, ragged girl. She was hopeless just selling matches even though no one was coming to her. Even if she didn’t even get one penny her father would beat her. The little girl was freezing cold so she found a corner to sit in. After she struck a match against the wall and a boiling stove came in front of her eyes. It was so warm that she got burnt by it. She thought to her self this is better. But the match went out and she was freezing cold again. She lit another and a roast goose came up and she saw a table with a white cloth. The people who were sitting on the table were having a nice time and but compared to me in the freezing cold. The other people just ignored me. So I struck another match and a beautiful Christmas tree was in front of me with multicoloured lights with flickering candle light. Then the match went out.

Nice response and use of speech, Sasha. I’m glad I’m not a match girl!

Lovely, Jake. That fourth and final match is a haunting image. Poor little girl!

Fabulous retelling, Aiyana. That poor little match girl…I love how you described her cold, numb feet!
A lovely response, Hal! I like the different ways you used to show the match going out – disappeared/vanished. Such a sad story!
