As it is the centenary of the World War I Armistice this year, we have commemorated this in assembly. We’ve also talked about the events of Christmas Eve 1914, when, re-told in letters sent home, soldiers from both sides of the fight left their trenches, greeted each other, sang and played football. At our Carol Concert we shared poems (by Carol Ann Duffy) and songs,  then lifted the mood with some happy EP Christmas classics!

Our chosen charity is War Child currently focussing on the child victims of both sides of the war in Yemen. Thank you for all the generous donations received after the concert which totalled over £500!
