romans are so interesting,I hardly knew half of the information given by the children.
I passed 3 quizes!!!
I loved the lion and bear in molly and thurstons ampitheatre.
Loving learning about the Romans with year4!
Just played a fantastic board game and ate some delicious Roman food!!
I have just tasted a Roman pizza for the first time. Bread, fetta cheese, honey and sesame seeds. Bleurgh! (Only joking it was very nice!) I think Edward, Eben, Paige and Iyaad should open a restaurant.
Blood, guts and gore are everywhere!
As well as sweet pizza and loads of fascinating facts!
Well done Year 4 on your Roman project!
that Roman pizza was sensational and I love the generous helping of sesame seeds in the salad as well! yum! luckily we had skipped lunch! lots of lovely facts and drawings and we love all the brilliantly designed flyers (did the Romans invent the flyer??)
Impressed with how the children created their presentations and quizzes on farming, animals and weapons on Ipads. The children had covered a great variety of topics which were presented in a fun way.
I now know how to count to 100 in Roman numerals, I’m glad I am not a Roman slave (but pleased to be granted my freedom), am slightly worried that my memory isn’t all is should be and really enjoyed watching a sword fight.
All in all, a fun and very educational time, well done everyone!!
Fabulous Roman day in Year 4! Well done everyone on your hard work and imaginative presentations. Who knew the Romans died of so many diseases that are still around today? The Roman board games are not to be missed.
What fun to see how Year 4 interpreted their Roman topic. I loved the Quiz (as I managed to win my freedom), board game and facts about different emperors. Unfortunately, by the time I arrived (very late by the way) the pizza was gone!!!
I liked looking around the classroom and was very impressed with the weapons and shields made by the children.
I am very impressed at how much hard work the children have put in their Roman topic, but I can also see that they have enjoyed the whole process. The activties were all so creative and fun! Now I’m a semi-Roman expert! Thanks Year 4 & teachers!
I loved doing this ; we got to do so many fun and interactive things in the middle of preparing ; like cooking Roman food, making board games and going gluing and sello-taping crazy! I think this has been utimately amazing afternoon and is a just brilliant round-off for the end of term and topic. Thanks to all the other children in my class ; you guys definetely helped a lot ; all the grown-ups who came and actually tried the activities ; oh yes, and I shouldn’t forget the teachers, who all made this happen!
It was so fun looking at others work and also I enjoyed making the adults pretend to be slaves! I learned so many facts I did not know. On some of the groups, they even had quizzes!
I have really liked Roman day especially my pizza (AWESOME PIZZA) and playing a fun board game where you could sword fight. There were even tests on the Romans.
